Apparently he didn't sleep at all for the first year according to rabbinic lore. And only after they left the ark they were allowed to eat meat (kosher wasn't a thing). Imagine that. Probably the world's first vegetarians as well as the worlds first drunk.
I thought being trapped with all the animals in the world on a wooden boat was bad before reading this, but you made it seem even worse.
At the start of his career, Bill Cosby recorded a hilarious sequence of comedy routines that injected reality into Noah's story like this, coding Noah as a Black man not unlike himself ("Right!") who has to deal with objection and scorn from his neighbors about the ark ("You wanna get it out of my driveway? I gotta get to work!") and, finally, having Noah do an epic meltdown about being used as God's tool.. until it started raining...
He's persona non grata to a lot of people now, but stuff like this will always make me respect him.
Cosby's stuff was very funny, sweet-natured in a way, and utterly unforgettable ("Riiiight. What's a 'cubit'?"). This new stuff feels so angry though. I feel it in practically every joke, the deep resentment.

I do remember seeing that. Bloody hilarious!

Good grief, Reuben.
This is hilarious and disturbing. I never thought about the reality of cramming all that onto one boat for an entire year.
That's why I'm here ;)
