I agree with your contentions re the Ottoman Empire

I want to supplement what you said by mentioning a very CONCRETE MEANS BY WHICH THE OTTOMANS SUJUGATED CONQUERED PEOPLES.

Among other things, they tore trees down thoughout the empire. A tree represented self-assertion, autonomy and pride as a Tree does not kneel; a tree stands tall. The Ottomans did not want anyone to stand tall. To underscore a defeated nation's weak and pitiful state, they leveled trees by the millions. This of course made the desert expand and made hunger get worse.

The Ottomans also, of course, were savage in their treatment of their Armenian minority and they embarked on a holocaust against Armenians.

In fact, when Hitler first spoke of a Holocaust against the Jews, some men in the upper echelons of the Nazi realm suggested, to Hitler, that it might be a mistake as the world might think less of Germans if they embarked on a Holocaust. Hitler said that the world does not critize the Turks for killing the Armenians and therefore the Germans can "get away" with mass murder against the Jews

I appreciate your comment. Maybe if we knew more about their behavior and cultural traditions, we could shed light on the causes that led them to develop that way. We tend to overlook the cultural traditions and behaviors when learning history, focusing only on the visible facts left as reminders. However, there is always a root cause that shapes how a community, nation, or culture behaves. They carry anger, resentment, and a thirst for revenge wherever they settle around the world and cannot seem to let go. What does this mean mentally? Why can’t they move on?

A very insightful article. It is surely in evidence just by seeing and hearing Gazans. Wanting children to live so they may martyr themselves was stunning to hear aloud, even seeing them do exactly that. Every opportunity Israel has given not only squandered, but rewarded by killing their people and the largest welfare scam ever seen. I don't see how anyone can live next door to such deranged and violent people. I cannot wait to see some hostages returned, but it's still a deal with the Devil, Ottoman empire aside. ...

Unfortunately, we don’t have any other choice. They are our neighbors, and we must find a way to coexist with that reality. I wish leaders from the Arab world would teach them to value life, but their current education system instills hatred toward Jews, Americans, and Israelis, including Arab Israeli citizens.

If only the world had not imposed itself on the ignorant tribal animal herders, they might still be content to be ignorant tribal animal herders. It has worth noting that when there is no interference or intrusion in African tribes, they function in their society and world. These "Palestinian" tribes have been taught to hate, backed by a hateful "religion". They have no society or sense of civilization. They are taught to be abusers, even abusing their own families. They belong to the desert and cannot function in a civil world. They carry their barbaric ways wherever they go, causing mayhem and destruction. Maybe, that's why they get no empathy or help from their brother Arabs. They will remain hateful victims until they realize that they do have to be. Too many blacks in the US remain slaves to a bygone era. They are self-created victims. They, too, are stuck and will so until they realize life can be good for them too.

Maybe, some day in the distant future, "Palestinians" will be able to join the world as a useful, productive people, if they can only leave behind their ignorant, destructive, barbaric and hateful ways.

It’s a tragic cycle when hatred, resentment, and revenge against the Western world are nurtured from infancy instead of hope, leaving entire generations trapped in a mindset of victimhood that rejects growth and coexistence.

It is indeed tragic, but I feel no sympathy for those who seem to have no desire to remove themselves from the cycle of self-destruction. Given a choice for a new government, the majority will still pick Hamas (I hope Israel can stop that). If anybody should play the part of victim, it should be the Jewish people. After centuries of being scape goats and victims, Jews still strive to be good people with hope and ambition for better lives.
