"fake Palestinian people"

Why should anyone read beyond that? Isn't this an article about lamenting hate-filled comments?

Expand full comment
Lee Saffold's avatar

There is no exclusively “Palestinian people” that does not include the Jews because there has never been a Palestinian state separating a Palestinian people that exists to the exclusion of the rest the people who live in the region that the Romans designated as “Syria Palestina” that included all the people living in the region with Arabs and Jews together. The use of the term Palestinian, exclusive of Jews that also live in that region, is purely fiction!

Thank you, Leslie, for that significant clarification. You are correct.

Of course my point was to show that the term “Palestinian” used as a description of one specific group of people living in the region of what had been called Palestine to the exclusion of others, specifically Jews, is pure fiction.

The ignorance of the “anti-Israel” mob is indeed shocking.

However, I must point out what I believe to be an error in your otherwise excellent email - the very first offer of statehood the Arabs turned down was in 1937, when the Peel Commission recommended partition.

Keep up the good work :)

yes, it was first rejected in 1937, and every time it was offered thereafter. I guess its fair to say that at some point they have no right to assume there is anything on the table, Not going to wait indefinitely for the date to show up at the table. Sorry, have left the restaurant.

'An occupier can never defend itself in occupied land (under international law) and Gaza is occupied by Israel.”

I'm going to take this one apart in grand style. The problem in not occupation it is in NOT occupying. Israel left Gaza in 2005 and had NO presence there. If it HAD, then Hamas would not have been able to take root; would not have been able to build up arms and thousands of rockets; would not have been able to build hundreds of miles of tunnels.

In short, if Israel HAD maintained a day to day occupation of Gaza, Octobder 7th would never have happened.

What Hamas and the Gazans did from 2005, when Israel left the Strip entirely to them, until 2023 is proof positive they do not want a state. For 17 years, Hamas & the Gazans (who elected Hamas in 2007) did nothing to create a working society or infrastructure for the population, instead they created hundreds of miles of tunnels, stock piled mountains of munitions, stole millions of dollars and aid earmarked for the civilian population. They have done nothing to suggest they actually want a state, what they want is the eradication of Israel and all Jews.

Also Jordan held the West Bank between 1948 and 1967 and made no attempt whatsoever to form a Palestinian state. That too was a complete 'occupation', but is never mentioned by the usual protest mob.

Sadly, blocking them will do nothing to re-educate them. I am not sure that this is the answer. It is a much bigger problem. Your article is great, but it is being received in an echo-chamber.

I do the same. It’s not worth the argument. They will never be convinced that Israel isn’t the most evil country ever created. And, for the most part, they hate Jews, even the useful idiots who march with them.

All I need do, is consider the humungous difference between what the Jews have contributed to all mankind versus what Arabs, Muslims, Hamas, and/or Palestinians have contributed to mankind. Nuff said.

Assuming your's is a (typical) Christian response, I'll also assume you'd rather have your decapitated head planted on a stick after your mother and/or wife were raped for not being Muslim (aka 'the enemy'), than support a Jew? Great intelligence working here I see... Happy life!

As Louis Armstrong, himself a strong supporter of Jews and Israel, said, "There are some people that if they don't know, you can't tell them." Of course, the grotesque misinformation spread by genocidal barbarians threatens the existence of Israel and all Jews. My message for the ignoramuses: Luzzim Brenna Vee Da Keen! I would like to gather these ignoramuses in a stadium and stream the sweet home videos of Ariel and Kfir Bibas, with a voice over of the IDF spokesperson explaining what was done to them. Minimum 24 hours, and maybe at least some of them will get it.

Although I am disgusted and simultaneously baffled by the lack of curiosity, or the desire to know the truth stubbornly held by these deluded people, I would think that by now, they must have seen some of those heart wrenching videos and photos of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas. Yet they dismiss it. It’s beyond me to comprehend how anyone could not be painfully moved. After all that’s been witnessed, I would think that perhaps, some at least, might hear that tiny voice inside, that asks, “Could I be wrong?”

I’ll add my fantasy to yours, part of which was stolen from a few old movies, along with some psych tests which are supposed to measure potential sociopathy. In these, people are forced to view barbaric brutal scenes while being unable to close their eyes or turn away.

In my fantasy, the uncensored version of footage from 10/7/2023 is played repeatedly. This contains many of the atrocities, graphically captured on video, which were inflicted by Hamas and Gazan “civilians” on the truly innocent people throughout that dreadful excruciating day.

Your time frame of 24 hours sounds good to me.

Then, I would separate these people into small groups where they must face and listen to many of the heroic survivors we have all heard speak. Do not give the blind “haters” time to talk to each other.

Next, I would repeat the video again to the smaller groups, this time without forcing them to keep their eyes open, but loud enough for them to be unable to tune out the sound.

After all of this, I would introduce the tragic footage from 10/7 of the Bibas family, ending with the moving, precious pictures depicting moments from their lives before that dreadful day.

From material that I’ve read by those who have attempted to deprogram brainwashed cult victims, more time than 24 hours would be required to affect actual change.

But are these tunnel visioned people “victims” of long term brainwashing from their educators and social media? Or are they simply a shameful part of our society that finds it easier to go along with their peer group that’s adopted a mentality of hatred, which is cowardly expressed within their bullying mobs? Are they so spineless that they allow others to do their thinking for them, or were they people who were drawn to these groups due to their own hate filled beliefs?

I am guessing that it’s a combination. The important question is this: do any of these people carry that inner voice that dares to ask those difficult questions such as, “Could I be wrong? What does it mean if I am wrong?” If asked, then answered, do any of them possess the depth of character to take a stand which will likely result in their sustaining the losses that many who write on these pages have experienced? Would any of them be willing to be shunned by family and/or “friends” by standing for the truth?

Beats me.

After viewing the outrageous reprehensible spectacle of the last hostage releases, as we witness the despicable cruel behaviour of onlooking Gazans and masked Hamas “soldiers,”

in stark contrast to the courageous hostages forced on to the stage, then their bittersweet reunifications with their families, culminating with the precious loving videos of the Bibas family, before this Holocaust, I am left with a dark foreboding feeling that nothing will change the hearts or stance professed by these idiots. The fact that they continue to profess their hatred, incited by weak lies in spite of this luminous vivid light, indicates to me that the evil in our society has simply morphed into a different disguise.

Thank you Reuben for posting this insightful essay and thanks to all those who added their meaningful responses. After this last week, I can breathe in some fresh hope.

There was an informal " experiment" by 2 Jewish men, claiming to have been part of the massacres to small groups on an American Campus. The groups would listen without much reaction UNTIL they said they even killed their pet dogs. Only THEN was there a negative reaction, such as " why did you kill their DOGS?". Or they moved away saying THAT was just too much! What can I even say about young people with no regard for human life???

Reuben, you were much kinder to those two idiots than they deserve. But, you couldn't help it because Jews are brought up to be menschs (gentle person), which, of course, those Gaza supporting numbskulls wouldn't know. No matter how many times you and others write the historic truths about Israel, the brain-dead will not read it or are incapable of understanding. They will not acknowledge that there is another side of the fairy tales they have been fed. Keep up the fight.

Hi Rueben, you’re extremely gracious to take your precious time to write (and sadly repeat) the true facts of history for the dumb folk on the left. It’s worth documenting for sure and you can rinse and repeat it if needed, for the goldfish brain lefties who can’t seem to recall what they had for breakfast unless the look it up on an iPad or they get their usual feed of HMS filled misinformation. These people may never see the true facts, they lack maturity, objectivity, critical thinking skills, emotional intelligence, iQ, social skills, and many many more, are probably still living at home with their parents and dependent on having the meals a day provided for them. One day they might grow out of their Peter Pan world and develop an ounce of self-awareness to realize how wrong, idiotic, ignorant, and foolish they are, or have been. Maybe they won’t get to that stage, that Islamic radicals will get to them first, then they will rue the day they donned the kaffiyeh and waved their melon-head flags aloft. Until then, let’s continue to fight the real terrorists, and as Yousef Haddad said, try to convince those that question or doubt the misinformation. I applaud your work, keep it up. And here’s to peace for Israel 🇮🇱 and a return of the hostages 🙏🏻🤟💙🇮🇱

It may feel pointless to argue against the uneducated but they do read. Do they understand or want to understand? Maybe if they are willing to argue something might trickle in. Therefore, flood TikTok, X or whatever other platform with exactly these articles and streams of discussion. Maybe don’t look at it like education, (which they do not value) but rather a marketing opportunity. A war of words. Always have the last comment.

We respond with history and facts. Most people will see this as tedious even though it is the foundation of logical argument. They respond with material that is mentally easy to grasp even if full of lies. This is a big difference. How is that there is no Israeli marketing whizz to take this up.

I recall after attack on 9/11 in U.S., there were a number of attacks by Muslims in France. The Police said there were " no go zones in Paris". I wondered WTF? And later they explained the residents/ terrorists were allowed to use Sharia Law and French Authorities would not enter that space. I knew then, that Paris would be a forever hell for the Non-Muslim.
