State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel declines to comment on last night’s IDF strikes on branches of an association accused of financing the Hezbollah terror group but says the US still doesn’t want to see daily strikes on the Lebanese capital.
They don't want Israel to defeat another tentacle of Satan's Army.
If there's one aspect of the zeitgeist that truly perplexes me it's how all the liberal globalist media orgs—NYT CNN BBC WAPO etc—have become en masse a single anti-Israel PR Dept, regardless of fact or context.
You would think that the same people who are constantly preaching about sacred democracy and the rights of women and sexual minorities (down to the most obscure w most obscure pronouns) would want to support the one liberal democracy in the ME that believes in these things. Also, you would think that an entire generation raised on "Schindler's List", Anne Frank and Never Again! would have some sensitivity to the fact that the Jewish state is surrounded by genocidal theocrats and that letting mobs of anti-Semites roam freely in parks and campuses might be an urgent warning that they needed to step up and protect Jews.
But instead they just seem brainwashed by the Oppressed/Oppressor binary and in this case nothing matters except that one side is a rich country with a modern army while the other side are permanent UN charity cases who live knee-deep in rubble. Completely lost are the very clear words and deeds of generations of Palestinian leaders who have disdained peaceful coexistence, never once recognized the existence of the Jewish state, and pursued a total policy of war and terrorism—which is the direct cause of their people's misery.
My feeling is that Western liberals are so besotted by their self-image as heroic defenders of the oppressed underdog that nothing else matters to them except appearing "compassionate"—unless it's that they really think of the Palestinians as beyond agency or responsibility, helpless victims they need to treat like crippled children—unless it's that they're just sick of this whole issue (is bad for business) and think of Israel as a neighbor with loud, violent children and just want them hushed so they can live in peace.
I am completely befuddled myself as to why so many have become so indoctrinated and ideologically captured, especially older people; the young I can understand more.
Our brains are social and tribal much more than rational—throughout human history being in tune and in good standing w your tribe often meant the difference bw life and death.
As for the wave of mass intellectual conformity that's swept across the West, it seems mostly bc smartphones + social media + constant internet access have turned out to be the greatest brainwashing and conformity-enforcing devices ever invented.
The devices have rewired all our brains into some form of neo-barbarism, where nothing matters more than performing allegiance to your tribe and attacking/destroying its enemies.
I guess the great secret revealed in the digital age (assuming it was a secret) is that when most people are called upon to think and reason, the best they can do is choose the most socially safe position and defend it with ugly emotion. And somehow this is even more pronounced among our supposed thinking classes, who have shown that people will say or do anything if it means maintaining their careers and social status.
I read this and felt privileged to have found truth behind the slander, and not just basic facts, but the reasons at the roots of the slander of Israel. If a person reads The Blessings for foods other than bread, there is a phrase twice mentioned, which is, “to be satisfied with its (the Land of Israel)’s goodness.” Part of that goodness is the truth one may find there or therefrom but which is distorted or smoked over elsewhere. The main stream media is simply doing what they have been ordered to by the DC Deep Swamp, the central bankers and their servants, such as the slimy Soros family. Israel will never get any neutral, non-biased media coverage whether they are right or wrong. Only Israel does not have right to survival, according to the Islamic crazies and their supporters. If Israel does not fight back and defeat the Iranian puppets, all of Western civilization will fall. Much of Europe is on the way to being forced to live under sharia law, and the US will follow. Prepare to fight or you will likely be beheaded.

Blinken arrived in Israel yesterday to try for " ceasefire" in Gaza. Is he absolutely deaf and stupid? Ceasefires only apply to Israel or in other words, lay down and die. Hochstein in Lebanon as of the 4th time in recent memory will get results. At least he did say that re-enacting UN resolution 1701 is simply not enough. It sure isn't!!! Since I am unable to help much, I ent online today and found Israeli small businesses desperate for business. I can sure use coffee, honey, real Olive oil, skin products made with fig and Dead Sea Mud and wine!! So will try to help some people that way. Awesome products from the Jewish State! 🙏🇮🇱🇮🇱
Reference media tend to give their readers what they think these readers expect. The explosion of antisemitism everywhere is one of the reasons why media are all so biased about Israel. Antisionism is used as a safe and politically correct antisemitism. And antisemitism is the oldest hatred in the world. So a whole antisemitist climate has been developing worldwide. So there is nothing new under the sun.
What is new , however , is that this hatred is not primarily directed against jews as individuals but against the one jewish state. Isn’t that wonderful to be able to demonize the tiny state of Israel, to nazify it ? This is great news ! It finally shows that after all , Hitler was right in his endeavor to eradicate the jews from the surface of the globe because they were evil creatures. He was doing a favor to humanity….And if most people turned a blind eye to this genocide , they should not feel that guilty anymore….. What a huge moral relief !

I just read that 17,000 children have been killed in Gaza since October 7. This is according to UNICEF. If this is true, how do you Justify this?
