Fair point on the writing. Going back to your comment, 'claims to be Jewish' buys into the conspiracies. And then come the memes and caricatures of money bags and hiding wealth etc. So sure, call out the power brokers but them being Jewish should play no part in the conversation.
Lol…happy to oblige. It’s best we get to the heart of every issue in the quickest way possible. Want me to send on your details to the Aryan Brotherhood?
I used to have respect for JPF, but I think I'm going to unfollow. This was written to make us all feel like anti-semites, even though we're really anti-Hamas.
And let's be clear - Israel is guilty of genocide, Netanyahu has been called out by the ICC as guilty, and the international community have made it clear they do not support his actions.
You can make light of it all you like, but even if we forgive Netanyahu and chalk his murderous activities down as calculated revenge, he's still a democratically elected leader. What does that say about the people of Israel?
It's a coalition government so it says more about Bibis need for power than the people of Israel. Sometimes democracy fails as in the case of the UK voting for Brexit.
Yes, and the coalition consists of several extremists, none more worrying than the Religious Zionist Party. In any other country, such a party would be cast out and possibly jailed. That aside, one needs to ask if Bibi is following the will of his people, or ignoring it.
Ignoring. And any other country? Such a party has been in government in NZ, and just looking at Europe, Six EU countries — Italy, Finland, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and the Czech Republic — have hard-right parties in government. In Sweden, the survival of the executive relies on a confidence and supply agreement with the nationalist Sweden Democrats, the second-largest force in parliament. In the Netherlands, the anti-Islamic firebrand Geert Wilders is on the verge of power, having sealed a historic deal to form the most right-wing government in recent Dutch history.
And France is shifting even further to the right. Marine Le Pen nearly made it as president in 2022, and was previously voted one of the most influential people in the world. She's basically National Front for Christ's sake. Anti-Islamic forces are at work throughout the world because the continuing rise of Islamism is a genuine worry, but Bibi has inadvertently set the cause back by murdering innocent children. The majority of the sane world has made its mind up and taken the side of Palestine after witnessing this, but it's not anti-semitic. It's been going on for years and there are so many nuances to the situation. Of course, they hate each other and want the other side obliterated, but no one thought Israel would actually try to see it through.
You might be guilty of #5. See the Associated Press’ recent analysis of the casualty figures? Check it out. Unfortunately children get killed when a country has to excise a cancer that has attacked it. You make it sound like Israel is purposefully going after children…Know any Jews? None that I know of - lefties or righties - have any sort of animus toward Palestinian children. And no, regardless of your feelings about Netanyahu, he is not a child killer. Hamas murderers and their enablers (of which there are many), definitely.
I've got no answers for who should replace him. And why? He's a bully. He's a warmongerer and I can't help thinking he let the country down by allowing October 7th to happen (possibly this is what he wanted). He isn't trustworthy (I know...not many politicians are) and he's in bed with the right wing who do not believe in peace.
October 7 was a an attempted passive aggressive coup d’etat by the obamunists in the upper echelons of the IDF and the CIA/Mossad. Gantz is the Biden/Obama junta’s puppet. The people of Israel, not just Bibi, want to fight this to the end. We have to eliminate the tentacles of Iran’s octopus. We may have to take out head of the octopus sooner rather than later.
an·ti-Sem·i·tism | \ ˌan-tē-ˈse-mə-ˌti-zəm, ˌan-ˌtī- \ variants: or less commonly antisemitism
Definition: hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious, ethnic, or racial group.
Anything else is conflating antisemitism with Zionism. Opposing Israel’s political philosophy and actions towards other ethnicities or groups of people is no more antisemitic than confronting a bully at school/work/etc who also happens to be Jewish. Being Jewish does not give you the right to do whatever you please. It just gives you the right to practice your faith without prejudice. That’s it. In regards to everything else, you are no more favoured than anyone else.
: an international movement originally for the establishment of a Jewish national or religious community in Palestine and later for the support of modern Israel.
Opposing Israel’s existence is to be antisemitic. To be a Zionist is to support a Jewish community in Israel.
You can be against Israel's policy, government or the way they shut shop on a Sabbath. Criticize away. But to suggest you are solely against Zionists IS antisemitic.
And nobody suggested being Jewish gives us the right to do as we please.
You are correct all the way up to « …support of modern Israel. ». You added the rest. Opposing that land be taken by force from people who live in a place and given to the Jewish community for the establishment of their own country has nothing to do with antisemitism. And the dictionary definition you quote supports my argument; Zionism and antisemitism are not related as the dictionary does not refer the terms to one another.
I do not think it is correct to assume that all Jews are Zionist and vice versa. I’m pretty sure that Christian Zionists vastly outnumber Jewish Zionists and that many many many Jews, in and out of Israel, are not only firmly opposed to it, but vocal about it too. I see many on Substack and instagram. I’m sure it’s the same on TikTok and other social media platforms, but alas I do not partake much in the great social media experience.
It's a good point. So you're saying you're not an antisemite, it's Christian zionists you hate even though their goal is the same as a Jewish Zionists?
I despise Christian Zionists. They uphold an ideal rooted in their own faith, and project it onto people of Jewish faith, without truly even understanding what the heck they are doing or who’s gain. It’s no different than arming tribe A against tribe B, because you hate tribe B but don’t want to take them on yourself. Look at Ukraine for example, or nearly all of the US’s failed attempts at trying to reshape other countries for their own purposes.
Small nit, and I could be wrong, but I’m not aware of any babies being beheaded, which I think means killed by chopping off their head. I think, and feel free to correct me with facts, babies were decapitated after they were by Hamas terrorists. I know, what does it matter… I think it’s important to be accurate to avoid accusations of rhetoric or hyperbole. Chopping the heads off of dead babies is evil enough

Lol...that's good.
100% not a pro-Palestinian Jew hater.
Good to hear Scott
Fu*l k Hamas, the leftist, the Jihadist, the cowards, the Qatari and IRGC!
💯
I’ll 2nd that.
F*ck all of my former friends who would score high on the Jew-hater list! I can’t believe I was ever friends with any of them.
Right, at least you now know who they really are…fuck em
Agreed.
I have lost a few friends too
Now that Biden has revealed his ceasefire agreement, I think he can check yes to at least 3 of the questions.
I suspect secretly he would tick more.
Bravo. I agree with you.

The article is not trying to make you feel like antisemitic

Cool, a new comedian on Substack.
Great read. Thank you very much as well for the shoutout about Maccabee Nation. We are all in it together.
No worries Jason.
Wow, 15 No’s. Clearly I need to go to a re-education camp. Freedom is Slavery!
Must try harder Tim
15 x 'hell no'
Do you even know why you “abhor Bibi”?
Yep.
So why? And who do you recommend replace him?
I've got no answers for who should replace him. And why? He's a bully. Great questions.
According to Merriam Webster

Two can play at that game Dany

Of course I added the rest. That's how you structure your argument, like yourself. You present the definition and then add your view.
I see no difference, today, in all Zionists being Jews and all Jews are Zionists.
I understand.
